Location of role Oxford, UK Department Commercial Key Responsibilities MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB The Director will be a core strategic leader and member of the global Market Access team responsible for shaping and executing the global Market Access, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), pricing, and evidence generation strategies, encompassing Real World Evidence (RWE) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) for KIMMTRAK (tebentafusp). The geography covers 40+ countries and includes collaborations with Immunocore’s commercial partners for Central and Eastern Europe, Canada, Australia, LATAM, Turkey and MEA. The Director will work closely with Medical Affairs and other global functions to build upon KIMMTRAK’s success by driving the long‑term Market Access strategy for RWE generation and HEOR projects, and publication with an emphasis on expansion of capabilities for the USA market in oncology The Director will be an entrepreneurial, highly curious and collaborative leader. They must be resourceful with a ‘sleeves rolled up’ attitude and able to forge strong ties across the organisation. They will combine strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex evidence and market insights into clear access strategies, options and trade‑offs for senior leadership. The candidate will bring strong leadership and publication record supporting commercialised and innovative product launches in oncology with an exceptional track record of promoting cross-functional collaboration across the R&D, Commercial and Medical functions. They will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on Market Access, HTA and pricing issues, able to challenge assumptions and shape strategic decisions with robust payer and evidence-based insights. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Market Access and HEOR and support the Heads of European, International and partnership Markets, and the US Commercial and Medical Affairs teams. The Director will also be accountable for preparation for the next indications of KIMMTRAK, including designing and leading HTA strategies, overseeing pricing and reimbursement for specific countries and is expected to act as the subject matter expert for internal planning of evidence needs of the Immunocore pipeline for HTA, pricing and reimbursement. They will provide early strategic input into target product profiles and clinical development plans to optimise the probability of favourable HTA and reimbursement outcomes. They will represent the Immunocore at meetings with government authorities and coordinate with multiple internal functions, including Commercial, Medical, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Biostats and Project Management to achieve reimbursement of KIMMTRAK, globally. The individual will also liaise with Finance, Legal and Procurement to ensure compliance and invoice reconciliation for country-level budgets. The role will include significant autonomy, exposure to the Immunocore executive team and an opportunity to develop skills at all levels of the Market Access, RWE and HEOR function to drive global and in-country success of KIMMTRAK. The successful individual is expected to expand their expertise and responsibilities as Immunocore grows with the launch of new indications for KIMMTRAK and new assets. They will play a key role in informing portfolio, indication sequencing and lifecycle management decisions from a Market Access and payer value perspective and drive evidence generation after launch. Key Responsibilities • Define and own the global RWE and HEOR strategy and capabilities for KIMMTRAK and Immunocore’s oncology portfolio, ensuring evidence generation plans anticipate payer and HTA needs and add measurable value to the product portfolio, with a particular focus on the USA and oncology., • Lead cross functional strategic planning and foster a culture of collaboration across Immunocore’s global functions, particularly Clinical Development, Commercial and Medical Affairs, to build upon current successes, drive further growth of KIMMTRAK and prepare for future product launches., • Lead the development, optimisation and governance of global pricing and access strategies, including scenario planning, value based pricing approaches and risk sharing options, and drive robust business cases for approval of country pricing and maintenance of national reimbursement contracts., • Oversee the strategy, maintenance and optimal use of the central global evidence repository to support pricing, HTA and reimbursement, ensuring timely access to high‑quality evidence for global and local teams., • Strategically manage the Market Access budget for assigned countries as it relates to RWE, HEOR, pricing and Market Access activities, including prioritisation of investments, and oversight of country-specific vendors and contracts., • Represent Immunocore at national and regional payer, HTA and policy meetings, articulating a compelling value proposition and negotiating access and reimbursement in line with agreed strategic objectives., • Support and shape the Immunocore pipeline by creating, synthesising and delivering clinical and economic value propositions aligned with the strategic needs of global RWE, HTA, pricing and reimbursement, including early input into clinical development and target product profiles., • Build and drive a collaborative, engaged and high‑performance work culture; provide hands-on learning, mentorship and strategic guidance to colleagues at global and local levels, leading by example., • Conduct strategic landscape assessments (payer, competitor, policy and HTA trends) to proactively identify risks and opportunities, shaping Immunocore’s Market Access and evidence strategies at global and country levels., • Act as a key strategic partner to the global Head of Market Access and regional Commercial teams , providing clear recommendations on access risk, opportunity sizing and investment prioritisation across indications and markets., • Ensure that all Market Access activities comply with regulatory agencies, public policies/guidelines, and with corporate policies and procedures. PERSON SPECIFICATION Experience & knowledge Essential • Demonstrated experience (10+ years) in designing and leading global Market Access strategies for oncology products, including launch and lifecycle management across multiple regions (e.g. US, EU5, key international markets) within a multinational company., • Experience in long‑term access strategy development, including scenario planning, market shaping, and responses to evolving payer and HTA policies., • Proven capability in RWE generation, HEOR and analysis of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs), including publication record across multiple assets, ideally relevant to the USA., • Proven leadership in designing and delivering global Integrated Evidence Plans with Commercial, Medical and Regulatory to support launch and lifecycle management, and in aligning these plans with global Market Access and HTA strategies., • Experience of external stakeholder management e.g. KOLs, PAGs and data source owners especially in Oncology and the USA., • Hands on experience of HEOR methodology and other technical approaches to generating value evidence, including localisation (e.g. national, regional, hospital) of clinical and economic evidence to persuade national and local decision-makers to reimburse KIMMTRAK (tebentafusp) and future Immunocore products., • Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment with the ability to influence without authority, own strategic projects end-to-end and deliver impactful solutions, including treatment pathway analyses to assess resource utilisation, clinical/economic drivers and opportunities for positive disruption., • A good business acumen, including ROI-based decision-making., • Understanding of international Payer / HTA environments at the national, regional and hospital levels., • A creative, curious and entrepreneurial approach in looking for new ways to uncover opportunities that enable value to be created for patients, healthcare systems and Immunocore. Experience And Qualifications • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Market Access, HEOR, RWE, and pricing within the pharmaceutical / Biotech industry, with a proven track record in leading roles supporting multiple oncology assets., • Advanced degree in Health Economics., • Additional training or experience in health policy, public health, epidemiology, or business is an advantage, particularly where it has been applied to strategic Market Access or HTA roles.
