About Us The Valiant Sailor is a characterful village pub just outside Folkestone, we took over in November 2025 and will be undergoing a £200k refurbishment in April, at which time we will also be maximising potential of the pub garden for summer. We are building a quality, food-led offer centred around excellent pub classics, standout Sunday roasts, and launching a highly recognised ghost kitchen for April, alongside the refurbishment. Due to growth in the business and the upcoming summer season, we are now looking for a strong Sous Chef to help drive the next stage of our food journey. The Role This is a hands-on Sous Chef role working closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently excellent food. Were looking for someone organised, reliable, and ambitious with genuine opportunity to grow quickly as the business develops for the right person.
