About the Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support the development of automated reliability and characterisation test systems for MicroLED devices. The role combines test software development, instrument control, and data analysis, supporting both the execution of reliability campaigns and the analysis of device performance and degradation. The engineer will work closely with hardware engineers and test engineers to develop software tools that control laboratory equipment, automate test procedures, and analyse large datasets generated during device testing. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain automated test software for reliability and characterisation systems., • Interface with laboratory instruments and test hardware using LabVIEW, C++, and Python., • Support the execution of device reliability campaigns and engineering experiments., • Develop tools for data collection, processing, and analysis., • Work with engineering teams to interpret results and identify device behaviour trends., • Contribute to improving the automation and robustness of internal test platforms. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • Master’s degree in Physics, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline., • Proficiency in LabVIEW and C++., • Working knowledge of Python for data processing and analysis., • Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as SPI and I²C., • Experience working with laboratory bench instruments such as power supply units (PSUs), oscilloscopes, pattern generators and multimeters., • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Advantage • Experience with NI TestStand for automated test environments., • Background or practical experience in semiconductor device testing., • Experience analysing large datasets and developing mathematical models for device behaviour and degradation., • Familiarity with reliability testing methodologies (e.g., lifetime or stress testing).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • A degree in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field is preferred., • 2–3 years of relevant project management experience in a fast-paced technology environment is highly desirable, however candidates with a strong technical background and experience in planning or coordinating projects will also be considered, even without formal project management credentials., • Familiarity with engineering tools or PLM platforms and with Risk & issue tracking tools., • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical teams and senior management both internally and externally., • Self-motivated and results-driven, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities under pressure., • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities., • Proven strengths in delivering results, taking initiative, and communicating effectively., • Skilled at problem-solving, prioritising work, negotiating, resolving conflicts, and making decisions under uncertainty while building trust and team alignment. Advantage • Industry experience within micro fabrication, semiconductor processing, optics/photonics, or display technologies would be an advantage., • Formal training in project management methodologies is desirable but not essential., • Customer-facing experience is an advantage.
