He has significant complex care and medical needs; he is reliant on his family and carers to meet all his needs and is supported by a dedicated team of carers and support workers providing 1:1 sometimes 2:1 24/7. He is autistic, non verbal, has a movement disorder and epilepsy which results in regular seizures, a PEG for medication and fluids but eats foods orally. He needs Catheterization and Peristeen Irrigation. It would be a bonus if you had experience in these already. He can walk with support but is also a wheelchair user. He lives with his loving and supportive family, who recognise that his team of carers support workers are instrumental in his overall development and well being. Overview of role: He requires an experienced waking night carer to join his team to assist with his bedtime routine and tend to all his needs throughout the night. This is an active night as you will need to keep a close eye on him, and following protocols if he has a seizure, supporting him with personal care, monitoring for any signs of distress, and In the mornings administering his PEG feed and medications. You will help sooth him when needed, making sure he is comfortable, and he can get as much rest as possible. All activity throughout the night is to be accurately documented. Additional shifts available to cover leave etc. To attend staff meetings & supervision. To participate in training as required. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will work closely with other staff members to foster a positive learning experience for the children and maintain strong communication with parents. Key Responsibilities: • Childcare and Education: • Plan and deliver a variety of activities and learning experiences that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. • Support children’s development in a safe and secure environment, catering to individual needs and promoting inclusivity. • Monitor and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records and sharing updates with parents and caregivers. • Safety and Wellbeing: • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures. • Implement hygiene and safety practices such as proper handwashing, meal/snack preparation, and emergency procedures. • Administer first aid when necessary, and promptly report any concerns or incidents. • Teamwork and Collaboration: • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment. • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development activities. • Parental Engagement: • Build strong relationships with parents, providing feedback on their child’s development, achievements, and any concerns. • Respond to parents’ queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner. • Administrative Duties: • Maintain records of children’s daily activities and development milestones. • Assist with the preparation and tidying up of the nursery environment, ensuring all resources are clean, well-maintained, and safe for use.

Role requires Washing up, Cleaning the kitchen, food prep, any other duties the chefs require.
