Ocean Infinity is seeking an Onshore ROV Superintendent. The Onshore ROV Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and effective operation and maintenance of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and associated systems. This role acts as a key liaison between onshore management and offshore ROV and ROC teams, ensuring operational readiness, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with client requirements. What Will You Do • Plan, coordinate, and supervise ROV operations to ensure project objectives are met within budget and schedule;, • Act as the primary point of contact for offshore and Onshore ROV teams, providing guidance and support during operations;, • Review project scopes, ensuring ROV systems and personnel are adequately prepared for deployment;, • Monitor operational performance and provide technical expertise to resolve complex challenges;, • Oversee the maintenance schedules for ROV systems, ensuring all equipment is serviced and certified in accordance with company and regulatory standards;, • Coordinate with the technical team to address equipment failures, ensuring minimal downtime;, • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to maintain operational requirements;, • Ensure all ROV operations comply with company policies, industry regulations (e.g., IMCA, and client requirements;, • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for all onshore and offshore activities;, • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement among ROV teams;, • Provide leadership and mentorship to ROV Supervisors, pilots, technicians, and engineers;, • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team competency and knowledge of new systems or technologies;, • Evaluate team performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement;, • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded;, • Prepare and deliver operational reports, including performance metrics, incident analyses, and project updates;, • Support business development by providing technical expertise during client meetings and proposals;, • Manage budgets for ROV operations, including personnel, equipment, and logistics;, • Optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-effective and efficient project execution;, • Assess relevant training needs for individuals in the ROV department;, • Participate in the planning and logistics for ROV Systems and personnel;, • Oversee Mobilizations from the Vessels that they are responsible for. To attend the Vessels for these activities and other client facing activities;, • Regular Travel to home office on a Monthly basis for a period deemed necessary by ROV Lead;, • Support coordination and project management of remote / offshore operations;, • Assist with technical and operational advice to contractors, on-site representatives, and the project team;, • Assist the project managers in compiling and QC of project manuals;, • Take active part in HSE events such HIRA, HAZID, and HAZOP;, • Ensure that the ROV operations are carried out according to Ocean Infinity procedures and as specified in the contract;, • Provide visible guidance and operational leadership for implementing the Ocean Infinity integrated management system (IMS) consistently with Ocean Infinity policies in all facilities and operations;, • Participates in and assesses information provided during management reviews and directs actions to continually improve the management system and reduce risk in the workplace;, • Meets all IMS needs for units/departments (e.g., controls, training, PPE, emergency response, corrective actions, and measures, including non-compliance / non-conforming items identified in audits) and participated in HSSEQ-related activities as described in the IMS;, • Initiates and participates in risk assessments as required for their field of responsibility and incorporates appropriate controls;, • Ensures safe working procedures are developed, followed, and updated as required;, • Directs individuals under supervision to obtain any required competency or training as per the Ocean Infinity Training Program;, • Includes appropriate aspects of the IMS (e.g., quality, health, safety, environment, business continuity, human rights, etc.) when evaluating and selecting suppliers;, • Works towards the Ocean Infinity mission and objectives by setting and following up on relevant performance indicators;, • Drives Ocean Infinity’s Health and safety, Environmental and Social goals and ensures that all decision-making supports those goals;, • Comply with Ocean Infinity Policies, practices, programs, and procedures as described in the Ocean Infinity management system;, • Complete required training as identified by Ocean Infinity Training Program;, • Participates in improving the Ocean Infinity management system by reporting events, attending meetings and workshops, reporting problems, and recommending improvements, as well as other related activities;, • Informs their manager / responsible person of any unidentified risks, hazards, or system deficiencies in the workplace by using Stop Work authority, SOB card reporting, Incident reporting or by reporting directly to relevant personnel;, • Communicates and implements Ocean Infinity’s policies and procedures and their requirements to employees, visitors, and contractors;, • Supports Ocean Infinity’s Health and safety, Environmental and Social goals. Superintendents will work in one or more of the following Specializations as directed and instructed by the ROV Lead • WROV / Salvage, • ROC Operations, • Seaeye / Observation Class, • eWROV Who You Are • Demonstrable experience running ROV teams and projects;, • Appropriate technical knowledge;, • Team management experience;, • Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Google Drive, Teams, e-mail, among others;, • Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;, • Ability to work as a trusted advisor with senior stakeholders;, • Strong leadership skills;, • Strong interpersonal and people management skills;, • Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company's purpose;, • Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;, • Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet. Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
