Site Manager Location West Midlands, Warwickshire, Rugby Job Type Permanent, full-time hours Monday - Friday Salary £60,000 - £70,000 per annum Company Overview A National Housing Developer is seeking a skilled Site Manager or Senior Site Manager for a traditional new build housing development in Rugby. Job Duties Manage all aspects of site operations to ensure successful delivery of new build housing projects within agreed timescales, budget, and quality standards. Plan, organise and coordinate site activities including subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, and productivity. Monitor daily progress and resource allocation to meet programme milestones and respond promptly to any challenges or delays. Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, and the senior management team to provide regular updates and resolve any site-related issues. Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and company policies including environmental and sustainability standards. Implement and uphold site safety procedures, ensuring all operatives hold appropriate qualifications and conduct site inductions. Prepare and review site documentation such as risk assessments, method statements, progress reports, and quality control records. Lead and motivate the site team to foster a collaborative and productive working environment focused on continuous improvement. Drive initiatives to achieve the company’s Quality Award, demonstrating commitment to excellence in construction practises. Required Qualifications Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate. Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card relevant to site management. Valid First Aid qualification. Full, clean driving licence. Experience Proven track record of managing new build housing projects, preferably within high volume housing developments. Experience in traditional construction methods and working on large-scale residential developments. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and suppliers effectively. Experience in maintaining rigorous health and safety standards on site. Knowledge and Skills Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, site management, and health and safety legislation. Strong organisational and planning skills to manage complex site activities. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, teams, and stakeholders. Ability to analyse and resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Competence in preparing and maintaining site documentation and reports. Knowledge of high volume housing construction and new build housing standards. Preferred Qualifications NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent. Experience with digital site management tools and software. Working Conditions Primarily site-based role with regular travel to and from site locations within the Rugby and wider West Midlands area. Work takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year. Role requires flexible working hours to meet site demands, including occasional early starts or extended days. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory at all times on site. Company vehicle or car allowance provided, along with fuel allowance for work-related travel.
