We're recruiting for a Maintenance engineer of Mechanical Bias to join a highly technical precision manufacturing facility in West Yorkshire. This isn't your typical factory environment. You'll be working around vacuum casting furnaces, industrial robots, automated systems, CNC machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and specialist manufacturing technology – helping keep a 24/7 operation running safely and efficiently. About the role As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of a busy production facility; Your day-to-day will include: • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM/TPM)., • Responding to breakdowns and completing effective mechanical fault finding., • Inspecting, testing and diagnosing machinery and equipment., • Repairing machinery using engineering drawings, diagrams and technical manuals., • Working on hydraulic and pneumatic systems., • Maintaining vacuum casting furnaces, automated robots, CNC machinery, compressors and wax injection moulding equipment., • Replacing and repairing components including bearings, motors, coolant pumps, hydraulic/pneumatic valves, seals and safety guards., • Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment., • Identifying recurring problems and developing solutions to improve equipment reliability. About you To be considered for this maintenance engineer position you should be/have the following: • A strong mechanical bias with excellent mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills., • It would be beneficial to have worked in aerospace/automotive environments but not essential., • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be advantageous., • Good knowledge of health & safety and risk assessment.
