Learning Support Assistant (SEN) Location: Secondary School - Havering Contract: Full-time / Term-time only Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a committed, patient and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive secondary school team in Havering. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEN. Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs. Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals. Support students' social, emotional and academic development. Help maintain a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment. Record and report progress, concerns and achievements as required. Person Specification Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based or equivalent). Understanding of a range of needs such as autism, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH or learning difficulties. Calm, empathetic and flexible approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths required; additional SEN training is desirable. TPBN1_UKTJ
