Job Title: Production Supervisor Salary: circa £27,000 per annum based on 36 hours per week (Overtime available) Location: Pontefract Type: Permanent | Immediate start available!! Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Pattern: Sunday – Tuesday | 12-hour shifts Overview: The Flavour Network is in close partnership with a fast-paced, established manufacturing business to recruit a Production Supervisor. This hands-on role involves coordinating production activities, driving performance on the production line, and ensuring operational efficiency in a busy production environment. As Production Supervisor, you will be the key point of contact for production teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and supporting the delivery of production targets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys leading from the front. Key Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor: • Coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient line performance, • Act as the first point of contact for production operatives, resolving issues quickly, • Ensure production plans are delivered in line with targets and KPIs, • Monitor downtime and escalate issues impacting performance, • Drive line efficiency to achieve output targets (PPH, labour cost, downtime), • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes, • Ensure accurate and timely completion of performance reporting (SIC, KPIs), • Ensure all products meet required quality standards (packaging, labelling, weights), • Maintain full compliance with company quality and safety standards, • Ensure all production paperwork is completed accurately and on time, • Oversee the flow of raw materials and packaging to production lines, • Support stock control and minimise waste and rework through a right-first-time approach, • Support, train and coach production operatives to improve performance, • Identify training needs and assist in upskilling team members, • Maintain clear communication across teams and departments, • Ensure a safe working environment at all times, • Enforce health & safety procedures and maintain high housekeeping standards Requirements for the Production Supervisor: • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, • Experience in a supervisory or team leader role (preferred), • Strong understanding of production processes and KPIs, • Ability to lead, motivate and develop teams, • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, • Excellent communication and organisational skills, • close attention to detail and commitment to quality, • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment If you have experience in production supervision, Line Leader or Team Leader and are looking for a role where you can make a real impact in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you
