We are looking for a Roofers Mate to join our Responsive Repairs team in Crewe and the surrounding area on a full-time, permanent 39 hours per week basis. About the role The successful candidate will have previous roofing experience and will be comfortable working at heights. To be considered for this post, you will need to live within twenty miles of Crewe to ensure we can get to our residents in a timely manner. We are a customer-focused organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be required to assist the Roofer and carry out remedial works to a high quality, ensuring that a customer-focused maintenance and repair service is delivered. You will have good communication skills and a good understanding of tools and materials. You will also be able to demonstrate: Proven ability to carry out minor remedial roofing works to a competent standard, such as (but not limited to) guttering and slate replacement, and minor leaks. Experience of working in a customer-focused environment within agreed performance targets. Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures, and accurately record data and information. Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines. Ability to operate safely, having taken into account any environmental circumstances and possible risks, including working at height(s). Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.
