Technical Assistant Location: Onsite in Nuneaton Contract: Temporary until end of September, with potential extension Hours: Full-time Role Overview: We are looking for a Technical Assistant to support the Health and Safety team within a local authority. You will assist the Health and Safety Manager in promoting a positive health and safety culture and supporting the day-to-day operations of the team. Key Responsibilities: • Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety team., • Take minutes of meetings and maintain accurate records., • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and statistical data., • Support the implementation and maintenance of health and safety systems and policies., • Coordinate and organise health and safety training, including booking rooms and recording attendance., • Assist with asbestos management and other health and safety compliance tasks., • Respond to written enquiries and Freedom of Information requests as required., • Promote health and safety awareness across the organisation. Skills & Experience: • Recent experience taking minutes of meetings., • Ability to communicate fluently, both written and verbal., • Basic knowledge of health and safety legislation., • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy., • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Qualifications: • Educated to Level 2 (GCSE A-C or equivalent), including English and Maths., • NEBOSH General Certificate is desirable or willingness to work towards it. Contracts Manager – Industrial Roofing & Cladding Location: Wolvey Salary: Competitive (DOE) Sector: Industrial Roofing & Cladding Job Type: Permanent An established and highly regarded industrial roofing and cladding contractor is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their senior management team. This is a key appointment due to continued growth and a strong secured order book. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the delivery and commercial performance of multiple projects, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The Role As Contracts Manager, you will oversee the successful planning, coordination and execution of several projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to): • Overall management and delivery of multiple roofing and cladding projects, • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, contractors and key supply chain partners, • Managing the design process, including:, • Overseeing the drawing office, • Attending design meetings, • Reviewing drawings for buildability, accuracy and value engineering opportunities, • Managing the submittal and approval process, • Producing information-required schedules aligned to construction programmes, • Procuring labour, materials and specialist subcontractors, • Resource planning and allocation across live projects, • Attending pre-start meetings to discuss logistics, programme, health & safety and site requirements, • Coordinating all health & safety matters, including preparation of RAMS and carrying out regular site inspections, • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, • Managing all commercial aspects of projects, including cost control, variations and valuations, • Monitoring progress against programme and implementing corrective actions where required, • Identifying and reporting delays or disruptions and proposing mitigation strategies, • Line management of Site Managers and Contracts Supervisors, • Providing technical, planning and commercial input into tender submissions Candidate Requirements • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager role, • Minimum 10 years’ experience within industrial roofing and cladding, • Strong technical, commercial and operational understanding, • Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently, • SMSTS, CSCS and all relevant industry qualifications Desirable Experience: • Flat roofing systems, • Rainscreen cladding What’s on Offer • Competitive salary and package, dependent on experience, • Long-term, permanent opportunity with a reputable contractor, • Senior-level role with direct access to the Managing Director, • Opportunity to work on high-value and technically challenging projects If interested in this opportunity please apply now and contact Luke Thompson for more information.
