Role Purpose We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide direct support to the MD. This role will be central to ensuring the smooth running of the MD’s office, enabling them to focus on strategic leadership while you manage day-to-day coordination, communication, and administration. Key Responsibilities Executive Support Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and reports for meetings. Handle correspondence on behalf of the MD, ensuring timely and professional communication. Office & Administrative Management Help move the business towards more digital practices. Organise and maintain files, records, and confidential documents. Draft, format, and proofread documents, emails, and communications. Support with data entry, expense reporting, and budget tracking. Meeting Coordination Arrange board meetings, leadership team meetings, and external engagements. Prepare agendas, circulate papers, take minutes, and follow up on action points. Stakeholder Liaison Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the MD. Build effective working relationships across the business and with external partners. Project & Event Support Assist in the planning and delivery of special projects and company events. Provide administrative support on cross-functional initiatives led by the MD. Person Specification Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience or an ability to demonstrate aptitude in an administrative, executive assistant, or office management role. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail. Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and digital enterprise and collaboration tools. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Professional, adaptable, and proactive approach. Desirable Experience supporting senior executives or working in a family-run or SME environment. An interest in food, farming, or artisan products.
