What You’ll Be Doing • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for individual students and small groups in line with the school’s curriculum, • Adapt teaching, resources and learning environments to meet individual needs and enable students to make meaningful progress, • Monitor, assess and record student progress, using this information to shape future learning and individual targets, • Develop and review Individual Education Plans, behaviour plans and other personalised programmes, • Create a structured and supportive classroom where students feel safe, understood and ready to learn, • Support students to develop confidence, independence and self-regulation, including those who may display behaviours that challenge, • Lead and coordinate Learning Support Assistants and other colleagues to provide consistent and effective support, • Work closely with families and the wider multi-professional team to support each student’s education, development and wellbeing What We’re Looking For You’ll bring: • A relevant teaching qualification, • Experience working within an educational setting and planning and delivering engaging lessons, • Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or behaviours that challenge, • The ability to tailor teaching and learning around individual strengths, needs and starting points, • A calm, empathetic and resilient approach, • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills, • The confidence to lead and coordinate others effectively, • A commitment to safeguarding and achieving the best possible outcomes for every student About Us Yiewsley Grange is one of our Early Years and Primary sites, providing specialist education for children aged 3.5 – 11 years old.
