The business is expanding and investing in its people, systems, and production capability, making this a great time to join.We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for a key individual who will play a vital role in driving production performance, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring optimal utilisation of machinery and resources.The Role As Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the production schedule to ensure orders are completed on time, within cost expectations, and to a high standard of quality.You will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth production flow and support effective decision-making across the operation.This role would suit someone with experience in manufacturing, engineering, CNC, subcontract production, or similar fast-paced environments.Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate production schedules to maximise efficiency and outputUse nesting software to optimise material usage and improve productivityLiaise with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth workflowSupport purchasing and material planning activitiesMonitor production performance and delivery schedulesIdentify opportunities for continuous improvementSupport cost control and efficient use of materialsWork collaboratively across production and commercial teamsHelp maintain a positive, efficient, and high-performing production environmentAbout You We are looking for a proactive, organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in production planning, manufacturing, or engineering environmentsStrong organisational and communication skillsAbility to prioritise workload and work under pressureGood IT skills, including Microsoft OfficeHighly Desirable Experience with nesting software (BySoft or similar advantageous)Background in CNC, laser cutting, or subcontract manufacturing environmentsExperience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. Sage or similar)Forklift Truck licenceUnderstanding of production KPIs and efficiency metricsWhats on Offer?
