Job Title: Contract Manager Location: Sittingbourne Salary: £65,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (flexibility required) About the Role Alice Rose is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join a leading engineering services provider based in Sittingbourne. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of maintenance operations, leading a team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in line with contractual and client expectations. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and manage all maintenance operations across the site, • Establish and manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system, • Lead, manage, and develop a team (including appraisals and performance monitoring), • Allocate workload, schedule tasks, and manage day-to-day activities, • Act as the main point of contact for client and team escalations, • Manage budgets, including revenue and capital expenditure, • Oversee procurement and project works, • Ensure all technical aspects of the contract meet client requirements, • Monitor and report on KPIs, driving continuous improvement, • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and ISO standards Requirements • Proven experience in a Contract Manager or similar role within building maintenance / FM, • Strong leadership and team management experience, • Hands-on technical background (mechanical and/or electrical), • Good understanding of PPM systems and maintenance operations, • Strong commercial awareness and basic financial knowledge, • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, • Solid IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Desirable • Experience with CAFM/PPM systems (e.g. Concept 300 / FSI Go), • Relevant technical qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical NVQ / Apprenticeship), • IOSH or Health & Safety certification, • Degree in Building Services or Engineering Key Attributes • Strong leadership and decision-making ability, • High level of organisation and attention to detail, • Ability to manage pressure and prioritise workload, • Collaborative and proactive approach, • Focus on continuous improvement and service excellence Apply Now If you are an experienced maintenance professional looking to step into a leadership role with real responsibility and impact, we would love to hear from you.
