MY ROLE AT A GLANCE The Stock Controller is responsible for the stock management processes to ensure optimum stock levels, storage, tracking shipments and ensuring accurate stock records. It involves monitoring stock transactions, managing the WMS, supply planning and supporting operational efficiency within a warehouse environment. A DAY IN THE LIFE • Be responsible for all stock transactions, run the warehouse management system (WMS) and the supply side of the demand planner, • Coordinate with the Operations Manager on new purchase orders and forecasted orders across all the whole stock range, • Create all new stock and bar codes, ensuring all the systems are fully updated with the correct codes, stock details in a timely manner, • Track reorder points and maintain minimum stock levels, • Manage the inbound stock from manufacturers to be delivered at the most optimum time, • Supervise the receiving of goods and verify against purchase orders that have been raised within the WMS, producing exception reports for review, • Act as the primary point of contact for anything stock related, • Ensure proper storage and stock rotation, • Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate supply, including analysing stock data to identify slow-moving or obsolete items. Ensuring accurate stock records., • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical counts, reconciling to WMS stock, • Ensure the demand planner is populated with up-to-date stock levels at the start of each week and demand is adjusted accordingly, • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, • Continually look for ways to improve the stock processes and suggest improvements, • Maintain proper filing of delivery notes, invoices and stock records, • Work closely with warehouse, logistical, sales, operational and finance teams, • Champion the WMS across the business and usage, supporting the warehouse on the processes and scanning implementation, • Mange, prepare and present a dashboard detailing stock KPI’s for the Senior Management Team MY CORE OBJECTIVES ARE • Inventory accuracy rate, • Stock variances, • Stock turnover rate, • Out of Stock Rate, • Overstock/Excess Inventory Level, • Cycle count completion rate, • Order fulfilment accuracy WHAT I BRING TO THE ROLE • Extensive knowledge in stock processes and supplier coordination, • Experience in inventory management software and/or ERP systems, • Inventory control principles, reorder levels and stock rotation skills, • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience of dealing with third party manufacturers, • Experience in stock counts, reconciliation and variance analysis, • Excel & data analysis skills to manage strict KPIs WHO WE ARE Since becoming independently owned in 2021, GATINEAU has entered an exciting stage of growth, with ambitious plans for the future.
