NQE Civil Litigation Solicitor Location: Billericay Reports To: Civil Litigation Partner / Head of Department Salary: £35k-£43k (DOE) Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Newly Qualified Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our established and high-performing litigation team. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of civil disputes, providing high‑quality legal advice while developing their expertise under the guidance of senior solicitors. Key Responsibilities: Case Management • Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters under supervision, including:, • Contractual disputes, • Property-related disputes, • Professional negligence, • Debt recovery, • Landlord & tenant matters, • Consumer disputes, • Draft pleadings, witness statements, applications, and correspondence., • Conduct legal research and prepare advice notes for clients and senior colleagues., • Handle client enquiries professionally and promptly., • Attend client meetings, take instructions, and liaise with stakeholders., • Assist with representation at County Court hearings (where appropriate for NQ level)., • Ensure accurate time recording and file management., • Comply with the firm’s risk management, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Essential • Qualified Solicitor (0–2 PQE) with completed seats in civil litigation, dispute resolution, or a related area., • Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)., • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail., • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills., • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines., • Previous litigation paralegal experience pre‑training., • Advocacy experience in lower courts., • Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn., • Professional and composed under pressure., • Team player with a collaborative attitude., • Commercial awareness and interest in business development., • Competitive salary (DOE), • Annual leave + bank holidays, • Hybrid working options (where applicable), • Professional development and CPD support, • Pension & benefits package
