Full-time | 37.5 hours | Regional role | Full UK Driving Licence required (Van provided)\nAre you a hands‑on problem solver with experience in general building maintenance? Do you enjoy working independently, travelling between sites, and making sure environments are safe and well‑maintained? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.\nWe’re looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our Property & Facilities team, supporting multiple services across the region. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our buildings are safe, compliant, and comfortable for the people we support.\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\nCarrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks\n(including plumbing, joinery, decoration, minor electrical work and general repairs)\nCompleting fire safety, legionella and compliance checks to ensure our services meet legal standards\nProviding excellent customer service to Service and Operations Managers across the region\nUsing our CAFM system to log, update and complete maintenance tasks\nManaging your workload independently and ensuring work is completed within agreed SLAs\nEnsuring van stock, materials and equipment are well‑managed and cost‑effective\nTravelling between services, with occasional overnight stays where requiredWhat we’re looking for\n\nExperience working as a Maintenance Operative/Handyperson, ideally in a multi‑site role\nGeneral multi‑trade skills (e.g., plumbing, joinery, basic electrical tasks)\nGood understanding of compliance, Health & Safety, and safe working practices\nConfidence using IT systems (MS Office, CAFM or similar)\nStrong communication and problem‑solving skills\nA positive, “can‑do” approach and the ability to work under pressure\nFull UK Driving Licence (essential)Desirable qualifications\n(Not essential – training can be provided depending on experience)\nCity & Guilds 2391 (Electrical Safety)\nPlumbing & Heating NVQ Level 2+\nJoinery NVQ Level 2+\nLegionella Awareness CertificateWhy join us?\n\nA varied, rewarding role where your work directly contributes to safe, comfortable environments for the people we support\nSupportive team and strong development opportunities\nAutonomy to manage your day and travel between services\nA team culture built on professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvementIf you’re a practical, proactive multi‑trade professional looking for a role with purpose, we’d love to hear from you
