Citrus Recruit are excited to be recruiting for Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Officer for a growing company based near to Caerphilly. We're looking for someone who has a relevant degree, an IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate and 1-2 years of experience within risk management. You will help ensure compliance with legal, industry, and client requirements, while promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. This client started as a family run business and has now grown to over 70. There are progression opportunities if you would like it and the opportunity to be part of a fantastic culture with lots of team events. The office location is Caerphilly, but you must be able to travel across the UK. Responsibilities & day to day duties As a Graduate Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality, you will be responsible for: Support the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001). Assist with implementing and monitoring SHEQ policies and procedures. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance. Prepare and review RAMS, COSHH, and risk assessments. Investigate incidents and support corrective actions. Maintain accurate SHEQ records and documentation. Deliver inductions and toolbox talks. Monitor compliance of employees and contractors. Assist with PPE, equipment checks, and safety training. Promote a proactive SHEQ culture across all teams. Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices. Skills & experience required. IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards). Strong interest in SHEQ and compliance in technical/operational settings. Excellent written and verbal communication. Detail-focused with strong organisational and time management skills. Confident IT user (MS Word, Excel, Outlook). Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work independently or in a team. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Desirable Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or BAFE standards. Awareness of process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, root cause analysis). Experience in a SHEQ-related role or placement. Understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation. Membership (or working towards) IOSH, IEMA, CQI, or similar body.
