Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a well-known brand to recruit for an experienced Sales Consultant. This is complex sales role where you will be managing the full sales cycle, be responsible for growing accounts and bringing on new businesses. The successful candidate will have experience in a consultative sales role and be familiar with the energy/ utilities market. It’s a hybrid role, where you must be able to travel into the office near to Kenilworth ideally 2 days per week. Responsibilities & day to day duties As a Sales Consultant you will be responsible for: • Drive new business growth, targeting agreed sectors and named accounts while owning opportunities from first contact through to close., • Lead high‑quality discovery meetings, shaping clear next steps and maintaining momentum throughout the sales cycle., • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified consultancy opportunities, ensuring accurate forecasting and visibility., • Apply a consultative, value‑led sales approach, translating client needs into compelling consultancy solutions and outcomes., • Collaborate with BDEs, the Sales Team Manager and senior leaders on pipeline strategy, complex opportunities and proposition shaping., • Provide market and client insight to support service development, value articulation and continuous improvement of proposals and presentations., • Maintain accurate CRM data, uphold compliance standards (GDPR, AML, H&S) and represent the business at client meetings, events and UK‑wide visits. Skills & experience required. • Proven background in B2B consultative sales, ideally involving complex or high‑value service offerings, with confidence managing opportunities through to close., • Experience ideally within the Energy or Utilities sector, • Strong commercial judgement and understanding of solution‑based, value‑led selling, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders., • Skilled communicator with excellent verbal, written and presentation abilities, able to build trust quickly and lead effective discovery, follow‑up and negotiation conversations., • Competent user of CRM systems, pipeline management tools and Microsoft Office, with the ability to maintain accurate, timely records., • Strong problem‑solving ability, able to assess opportunity quality, prioritise effort and navigate ambiguity while keeping deals moving., • Commercially aware, contributing to revenue delivery, pricing discussions and accurate forecasting, while handling sensitive information appropriately., • Flexible and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and travel to client meetings and UK locations as required Benefits • Salary of up to £45,000, • Circa £10,000 bonus, • Hybrid opportunity – 2 days per week in the office., • 37 hours per week, 08.45 – 17.15 Monday to Thursday. 08.45 – 16.15 Friday, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, • Life Insurance of 3x salary, • Pension - 5% Employer contribution (after probation) 3% during probation. 5% Employee contribution, • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Citrus Recruit acts as an employment business when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
