Job Title: Senior Legal Manager for UK Construction and Technical Operations (Temporary) Division / Function: Legal Location: Wrexham, UK Term: Fixed-term 12 months’ (extension possible) Summary / purpose of the position To: Provide strategic legal advice and hands-on support in connection with the construction activities of the manufacturing site known as Project NDP Module 2 (NDP2), as well as for all matters related to local fit‑out activities and UK Technical Operations. This role enables project delivery, managing legal risk, and supporting operational excellence in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment. Main responsibilities / job expectations Legal Support & Advisory • Provide strategic Legal expertise, advice and support on NDP 2, and UK Technical Operations activities,, • Advise across the full contract lifecycle, interpreting key contractual provisions in line with business objectives, operational requirements and considerations, as well as applicable legal or regulatory constraints,, • Clearly communicate legal risks, implications and options to internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making and execution, Drafting & Negotiation • Draft, review, manage, negotiate and manage a broad range of commercial and construction related agreements (including but not limited to JCT and NEC 3/4 contracts) allocating risk, responsibility and reward for proper performance,, • Support agreements relating to internal manufacturing activities, supply of critical raw materials and consumables, design engineering, procurement and construction activities, purchase of equipment, maintenance, as well as other related services, Project & Stakeholder Engagement • Work in close collaboration and ensure effective interfaces with local functions including Insurance and Risk Management, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, Intellectual Property, Service Providers/ Contractors, Ethics and Compliance and/or external lawyers,, • Actively participate upstream (ie. member of project teams, leadership teams), contributing to the design of commercial, operational and cooperation strategies aligned with corporate objectives Risk Management & Compliance • Proactively identify, assess and manage key legal issues and risks throughout project and operational activities,, • Support compliance of contractual relationships with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards and internal corporate codes and policies,, • Promote legal awareness and a strong compliance culture through day-to-day interactions with stakeholders and tailored training sessions Legal Process & Knowledge Management Experience and Knowledge: • Minimum of 5-7 years post qualification experience, including relevant UK experience in construction and technical operations gained in-house and/ or in private practice,, • Proven experience drafting, analysis and negotiating JCT, NEC 3/4 contracts and complex commercial agreements Language: • Fluent in English (written and spoken) Key Technical Competencies Required • Strong legal analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex and high-risk matters,, • Confident negotiator with the ability to influence and provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice,, • Assertive and credible partner, comfortable contributing actively in legal and business meetings,, • Strong organizational skills, proactive mindset and results-oriented approach,, • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, work under tight deadlines and prioritize effectively,, • Comfortable working independently while remaining fully aligned with the Legal team,, • Strong verbal and written communication skills,, • Open-minded, adaptable and effective in a multi-cultural, cross-functional environment One Way of Being (The below apply for all employees and described how to act with a biotech way of being) We Trust Each Other • Respect each other and all our stakeholders, • Empower others, • Respect & be open to inclusion and diversity, • Enable feedback and foster a speak-up culture, • Embrace cross-team collaboration, • Be proactive in learning from each other and through experiences, • Listen and be open to views and needs of all external stakeholders, • Seek transformation through innovation, • Be accountable and responsible, • Set clear expectations and prioritize, • Be results and value driven, not task-oriented, • Bring solutions, • Seek continuous improvement to be better always, • Walk the talk & talk the walk, • Ensure that we make ethical decisions, stay compliant at all times, • Never compromise on quality, • Be entrepreneurial, • Fast in turning our ideas into action; be agile, • Be demanding of ourselves as we strive for success, • Believe in making a difference, • Celebrate success, • Key Internal stakeholders:, • Key External contacts:, • Financial budget:
