Sonographer opportunity with based in West Midlands. We’re supporting an NHS Trust during a period of increased demand and maternity leave cover, and they’re keen to speak with confident Obstetrics & Gynae sonographers who are comfortable working autonomously in a busy NHS setting. Role overview ·Position: Sonographer – Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Band 7) ·Location: West Midlands ·Salary: Band 7 (£50,000 – £54,000 per annum) ·Start: ASAP (flexible mid-term start considered) The opportunity This is a great role within a well-established, supportive ultrasound team. Obstetrics & Gynae capability is the immediate priority, and the Trust is looking for someone who enjoys hands-on clinical work, values teamwork, and wants to make a genuine difference during a key period for the service. What you’ll be doing ·Independently performing and reporting a full range of Obstetric and Gynaecological ultrasound examinations ·Producing high-quality, timely reports in line with departmental protocols ·Delivering excellent patient-centred care, including communicating findings sensitively when required ·Contributing positively to rota balance and overall team workflow What we’re looking for Essential ·CASE-accredited qualification in Medical Ultrasound ·HCPC registration (or equivalent relevant professional body) ·Proven experience independently scanning and reporting Obstetrics & Gynae ultrasound Desirable ·Experience in general ultrasound ·Interest in teaching or supporting junior colleagues ·NHS experience at Band 7 level Why join? ·Supportive and experienced ultrasound leadership ·Clear clinical expectations — no scope creep ·Competitive Band 7 salary with full NHS benefits ·A department built on openness, compassion and respect If this role isn’t right for you, we’d really appreciate you passing it on to any Obstetrics & Gynae sonographers in your network who may be interested — referrals are very welcome.
