We’re looking for a reliable and experienced cleaning team to handle the day-to-day cleaning of a professional public venue known as The Beacon, located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire (OX14 area). Scope of Work: The cleaning will cover all internal cleanable areas including: Offices and meeting rooms Reception and public areas Toilets and kitchen spaces Fixtures, fittings, and furniture The venue needs to be clean and ready for use at the start of each working day. A key focus will be on maintaining presentation standards, asset longevity, and a clean, professional image throughout the building. We’ll also need a cleaning supervisor to: Oversee daily cleaning tasks Ensure the work is completed to a high standard Conduct weekly cleaning inspections with the Venue Manager Contract Duration: Start: 8 September 2025 End: 7 September 2026 With the possibility of a 2-month extension to November 2026 Budget: Approx. £37,000 – £44,000 (including VAT) over 12 months We’re especially open to working with small or medium-sized local businesses (SMEs). We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and adaptable Administrator & Events Coordinator to provide comprehensive support to the Director, Academic Director and wider team. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines high-level personal assistance with efficient administration and events coordination. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, have excellent attention to detail, and thrive in a busy, purpose-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and coordinate calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements for the Director and Academic Director. - Manage and coordinate the work schedule for the office building renovation. - Act as the key point person for the management of the office building as required. - Plan and manage logistics for a wide range of events, from intimate donor receptions and dinners. - Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. - Oversee event promotion, guest list management, RSVPs, and post-event follow-up. - Maintain organised electronic and physical filing systems, including Folk and Eventbrite. - Provide general administrative support to the Foundation’s team and projects. - Assist with correspondence, data entry, financial administration (e.g., invoices, expense reports), and database management. - Assist in drafting and editing internal and external communications, such as social media updates. Person Specification Essential: - Proven experience in a similar Personal Assistant / Administrative/ Events role. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Strong interpersonal skills and a team player. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using databases and digital tools. - Discretion, tact, and a professional demeanour. - Proven project management experience.
