As aCyber Security Architect, youll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT systems across hardware, software, and networks. Youll assess current security measures, identify vulnerabilities, and develop solutions to protect against evolving cyber threats. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical expertise, requiring regular risk assessments and collaboration with internal teams and clients. Youll also mentor SOC team members, helping to build a resilient and forward-thinking cybersecurity function. Your main duties will include: Technical ownership of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) technology capabilities. Implementation and optimisation of technical capabilities within the SOC. Development and maintenance of use cases and rulesets to enhance threat detection. Specification, communication, and delivery of Security Engineering services. Provide technical thought leadership to clients and internal Cyber Security delivery teams. Supply advanced threat mitigation solutions and services. Contribute to the definition of future security and architectural roadmaps. Offer architecture guidance and advice to IT and project teams. Mentor and coach SOC team members to foster growth and excellence. Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work, supporting all organisational initiatives, policies, and procedures. What are we looking for in the successful candidate? Essential Skills & Experience: Deep understanding of data breaches, broken authentication, and hacking threats. Proficient in writing security architecture design documents and diagram illustrations. Ability to clearly and convincingly explain security issues to both business and IT stakeholders. Skilled in translating policy and regulatory requirements into practical technical solutions. Experience reworking authored patterns based on peer and lead architect feedback. End-to-end implementation and administration experience with Office 365. Hands-on experience with security controls such as Firewalls, IDS, IPS, and NAC. Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, and Microsoft Office 365. Knowledge of information security standards including ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR. Strong grasp of IT domains including Linux, Windows, networking, containers, IAM, and monitoring. Understanding of ISO27001, ISO27005, NIST security controls, WAF, and network segmentation. Desirable Extras: Experience leading peer reviews and collaborating with cloud solution architects. Ability to positively incorporate feedback into architectural patterns. Certifications Required: Essential: Active SC-100 Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Certification.
