Role Description Working through your own PSC, you’ll take full ownership of client engagements from new business acquisition through to claim submission. We’ll support you with internal QC, marketing reach, and collaborative claim best practice, while you focus on generating opportunities, building trust, uncovering eligible activity, and preparing clear, defensible documentation. About you: • Proven R&D advisory experience (min. 2 years), ideally within an agency or client-facing setting., • Confident communicator with the gravitas to manage client expectations from first contact., • Able to translate complex innovation into structured, claim-ready documentation., • Operate autonomously but collaboratively, with capacity to take on new clients., • Energetic, proactive, and committed to ethical, quality-focused delivery. Your Key Responsibilities: • Identify and onboard prospective clients through business development activities, referrals, partners, including professional networks, outreach, or warm leads., • Facilitate an engagement agreement with the client., • Conduct discovery meetings to assess R&D potential, aligned with BEIS/DSIT guidance and CTA 2009., • Evaluate technical/scientific eligibility across a wide range of industries., • Identify and apportion qualifying R&D costs in collaboration with client finance teams., • Support the writing of HMRC-compliant technical narratives and claim compilation (including AIF data)., • Collaborate with our internal team for peer review, compliance & quality checks, and continuous improvement., • Stay up to date on relevant scheme changes, legislation, and risk areas.
