Steele Charles are delighted to be working on behalf of a growing, modern law firm to recruit a Scottish-qualified litigation solicitor with experience in pursuer personal injury work. This opportunity is ideal for a solicitor who enjoys running their own cases, making strategic decisions, and actually progressing matters through litigation — while having a strong support team behind them. The ideal candidate will be based in Scotland or Northern England, although remote options considered. Why This Role Stands Out? - This is not a high-volume processing role. You will have: • Full control of your own diary, • Ownership of your own caseload, • Access to a large, experienced paralegal team to handle admin and process-heavy tasks, • The ability to focus on litigation strategy, negotiation, and client outcomes, • A flexible, largely remote working model This position suits a litigator who wants to practice at the right level, rather than being buried in procedural work. The Work You’ll manage a caseload of pursuer personal injury claims, including: • Litigated PI matters, • Disputed liability and quantum, • Medical evidence and expert instruction, • Settlement negotiations, • Sheriff Court procedure and, where appropriate, higher court matters We are looking for someone confident raising and progressing court actions, not purely pre-litigation claims handling. About You: • Scottish-qualified Solicitor (essential), • 2+ years PQE in litigation, • Proven experience handling pursuer personal injury claims, • Experience of litigated cases and Scottish civil procedure, • Comfortable working independently and making tactical decisions, • Strong communicator with a client-focused approach The Opportunity: • Competitive salary and benefits, • Flexible/remote working structure, • Strong internal support systems, • Collaborative, progressive firm culture, • Genuine scope to develop your litigation profile Please apply with an up to date CV or reach out if this is of interest.
