Project Manager \n \n Purpose of the role \n\n • Support the positive approach to managing and enhancing business products, services and processes.\n, • To develop and apply project management tools & techniques to facilitate the on-time delivery of projects supporting the New Product Introduction process and other Project support activities.\n, • Proactive approach to support business ideals and customer relations while enhancing the Engineering teams and efficiency.\n\n \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Work with the (GHP&PS) to develop a standard project management methodology to primarily support the delivery of NPI projects.\n, • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant internal and external stakeholders.\n, • Facilitate project delivery against agreed scope.\n, • Create and maintain relevant project plans and documentation to ensure project progress is understood and team members are aware of project delivery requirements and responsibilities.\n, • Assess requirements to support successful project delivery.\n, • Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule & costs (as applicable)\n, • Report and escalate project status concerns as needed.\n, • At all times represent the best interests when performing the duties of the role\n, • Making sure quality standards are met\n, • As required support and attend exhibitions, seminars workshops etc\n\n \n Working Relationships \n\n • Direct & effective communication with all levels of the business environment (colleagues & customers alike).\n, • Participation in team meetings, training courses and workshops as required.\n, • Close links with colleagues should be developed and maintained in order that project objectives are achieved.\n, • Always required to present a positive and professional image enhancing the brand and image.\n, • Ensure that an excellent proactive supplier/customer relationship is always established and maintained.\n\n \n Person Specification. \n\n • Experienced Project Manager with a technical or engineering environment or leading engineering teams within such environments\n, • Prince 2 or formal Project Management training\n, • BTEC, HNC /City & Guilds or equivalent in an engineering or science discipline\n, • Business, Engineering or Science Degree or Membership of APM or similarbody is desirable\n, • Understanding and knowledge of working with and supporting OEM & Tier 1 customers.\n, • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams in a project delivery (life cycle management) environment.\n, • Relationship developer with both internal and external stakeholders\n, • Solid technical background, with a clear understanding of working within an NPI environment.\n, • Support the engineering team in the development of its working practices and processes to achieve better efficiency\n, • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction.\n, • Decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.\n, • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.\n, • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.\n, • Attention to detail in planning, execution, and follow-through.\n, • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals and objectives.\n, • Proactive, enthusiastic, and driven.\n, • Flexibility to work beyond normal business hours when required\n\n
