Cook / Chef Position Supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities & Complex Health Needs Our client is seeking an experienced Cook/Chef to join a friendly and established kitchen team within a specialist residential care setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals as part of a holistic care approach for 10 residents with profound learning disabilities and complex health needs. The Role As Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals for residents and staff. Meals may need to be adapted to accommodate varying dysphagia (swallowing) needs, including bite-sized or puréed options. Full training and support will be provided by the in-house Therapy team. You will work both independently and as part of a small team, contributing positively to the wider Care team and resident experience. Hours: * 2432 hours per week * 3 or 4 days per week * Shift rota basis, including weekends * Bank Holidays and festive periods shared fairly (average 2 weekends per month) Pay: * Up to £13.43 per hour Contract Type: * Permanent * Full-time or Part-time Key Responsibilities * Prepare and cook nutritious, home-style meals for residents and staff * Adapt meals to meet specialist dietary and dysphagia requirements * Bake fresh goods as part of the menu offering * Work collaboratively with the care team to support residents wellbeing * Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety * Participate in lone working as required About You * Experienced Cook/Chef with previous professional kitchen experience * Confident in food preparation and cooking * Interest in baking * Able to work independently and within a small team * Understanding of dietary modifications (desirable; training provided) * Reliable, organised, and committed to delivering quality meals Please note: Our client is unable to offer Certificates of Sponsorship for this role.
