    Job Description: ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and self-motivated Cafe Assistant / Barista to join our team. Operating from our unique, professional mobile catering trailer parked on-site at the GSG school group grounds, you will be the sole face of the business during your shift. While our workspace is located outside, our customers have access to a dedicated internal cafe seating area which we maintain. This is an exceptional hospitality role offering a consistent weekday schedule with absolute work-life balance, no late nights, no weekend shifts, and guaranteed core hours. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Solely managing the daily operations of the mobile trailer unit during your scheduled shift. · Preparing and serving high-quality hot beverages (espresso-based coffees, teas) and bakery items efficiently. · Providing warm, welcoming, and exceptional customer service to our community, school group members, and regular visitors. · Operating the point-of-sale (POS) till system and handling digital card transactions accurately. · Executing opening setup procedures at 07:30 AM & closing down procedures safely at 16:30 PM. · Maintaining impeccable hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards inside the trailer workspace. · Monitoring and managing the internal customer seating area tables, ensuring they are kept wiped down, presentable, and free of litter. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (REQUIREMENTS) · Previous experience working as a Barista or within a fast-paced hospitality/cafe environment is highly desirable. · Strong communication skills and a friendly, confident personality when dealing with the public. · Excellent time management and reliability, punctuality is critical as you will be opening the unit at 07:30 AM. · Ability to work independently and confidently using your own initiative without direct day-to-day supervision on the floor. · Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety standards (a Level 2 Food Safety certificate is a plus, though training can be provided).
