Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment are supporting one of their partnership Primary Achools based in the Woolaton area, with a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Year 1 pupil. This is a beautiful, one-form-entry primary school based in Nottingham which is part of a successful academy trust but holds a community feel within the local area. The school has a wonderful reputation in the area with parents and is a school regularly requested by supply staff to return to. The Role: • Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1, • Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation, • Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development, • Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan, • Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child, • Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment The Ideal Candidate: • Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable), • Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion, • Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting, • Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing, • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply), • Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday availability) Why Work with Tradewind? • Strong partnerships with inclusive primary schools across Nottingham, • Competitive daily pay, paid weekly, • Free access to 2,500+ CPD-accredited courses through The National College, • Ongoing guidance and support from a dedicated education consultant If you're passionate about SEND and ready to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.
