Corporate Partnerships (Fundraising) & Events Executive East London/Essex Border £29,212 – £34,849 (dependent upon experience) Temporary to Permanent or Permanent 35 hours (hybrid working,3 office days per week to include Wednesday and Thursday) Annual Leave: 27 days Job Summary Our client is an amazing, established Children’s Hospice that helps families by providing specialist nursing care and emotional support in a warm and loving environment and when times are tough. The charity prides itself with its exciting high-profile corporate relationships and events, and the team are looking for a highly organised, driven and pro-active Corporate Partnerships and Events Executive, reporting to the Corporate Partnerships Manager, to join the team. The role will work closely with both the Corporate Partnerships Managers to support new business development and help secure new exciting partnerships through prospect research, building relationships and supporting with application processes. Alongside this, you will support the coordination and management of key partnerships providing high quality, tailored stewardship and support across our corporate portfolio. This is an exciting role incorporating event support and management throughout the year. Events and volunteering are a crucial part of our partnerships including corporate events, golf days and quiz nights. They deliver bespoke, high standard and creative events for our partners, and during April to October we run our popular garden volunteer days which will be a key part of this role. You will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of these events, with the support of the Corporate Partnerships Managers. The post holderwill play a key supportive role across the Corporate Partnerships team and support to the Special Events Manager and the wider High Value team where needed. This role will suit someone who has some experience of corporate fundraising and/or events. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career in corporate new business, account management and events. This is a varied role which is part of the high value team which consists of Corporate, Special Events, Major Donors and Trusts and Grants. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities • New business prospect development – Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Team to identify, researchand prioritise companiesto pursue and develop mutually beneficial relationships with, whilst keeping our prospect pipeline up to date., • New business acquisition - Support the team with applications and presentation materials to help secure new key corporate partners, to help grow new business income and partnerships., • Event management – Assisting the organisation and management of key fundraising events throughout the year; for example Golf days, Quiz nights and Corporate dinners. Offer support for ‘special events’ for example our annual Gala Ball and Comedy night., • Volunteering days – Organise and manage the regular volunteer days held at the Hospice, liaising across teams to ensure fulfilling, safe and successful days are held to engage and motivate partners, • Partnership support - Supporting our Corporate Partnerships Managers with delivering our main corporate partnerships. This may include creating reports and updates, attending meetings and events, and developing new activities that will further our relationship with employees., • Partnership management – Manage a portfolio of smaller corporate partners, ensuring they have a first class experience of working with the chairty and maximising partnership potential and hitting fundraising targets through expert relationship management and tailored stewardship., • Stewardship – Supporting corporate partners with their fundraising, offering tailored stewardship to make them feel valued as an individual and as a key part of the wider partnership., • Communications – Creating and managing effective corporate comms to regularly promote and thank all corporate partners, and communicate the charity campaigns, events, and challenges to corporate audiences – to include Linkedin, the corporate e-newsletter, the charity website and relevant social media. To work collaboratively across the wider Fundraising, Marketing and Communications team to support with events and activities across the charity., • General team support – to be a key team member of the Corporate Partnerships team and wider IGM team. In addition, this role will lead on corporate team administration. Wider Responsibilities • To work with the Corporate Partnerships team in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the corporate strategy and budget, • To help to manage the corporate income and expenditure budget, ensuring that income targets are met with the corporate partners, • To manage Raisers Edge to ensureit is kept up to date for corporate partners, • To maintain awareness of other charitable partnerships and campaigns within the corporate sector, • Where necessary, support the wider fundraising team by attending events in the evenings and weekends. Skills, Knowledge, Experience • Substantial, demonstrable experience of corporate fundraising or event management, with a significant track record of identifying new prospects and account managing partnerships, • Exceptional networking skills, • Experience of delivering results against agreed objectives, targets and timescales, • Experience of managing and delivering events, • Proven ability to manageand prioritise own workload, • Focused, target-orientated and highly motivated, • Excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills, • Ability to work flexiblyand out-of-hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary
