Steele Charles are delighted to have been retained by an Edinburgh based bespoke aparthotel operation seeking a hands-on, guest-obsessed General Manager to lead day-to-day operations across their boutique aparthotel, support the pre-opening and launch of the new site, and help shape what “exceptional” means for the brand. The Role You’ll be the heartbeat of the guest experience - making sure every arrival feels effortless, every stay unforgettable, and every system runs smoothly. Working closely with the Operations Director, you’ll drive performance, shape culture, and help grow a distinctive hospitality brand in one of the UK’s most inspiring cities. Key Responsibilities: • Lead front-of-house service, creating memorable guest experiences at every touchpoint., • Oversee daily operations - housekeeping, maintenance, suppliers, and inventory., • Manage revenue, pricing, and OTA listings, driving occupancy and direct bookings., • Support the pre-opening and launch of a new Edinburgh site, from systems to staffing., • Launch and oversee a new 40-cover food & drink space - relaxed, design-led, and full of local character., • Build community connections through brand collaborations, social media, and events., • Ensure compliance across health & safety, licensing, and operational standards., • Handle financial reporting, cost tracking, and performance metrics. About You • Proven experience managing small hotels, aparthotels, or boutique hospitality spaces., • Confident running both accommodation and F&B operations., • A doer and problem-solver - proactive, calm, and resourceful., • Strong understanding of PMS systems, revenue management, and P&L basics., • Naturally warm and personable, with genuine hospitality instincts., • Deep local knowledge of Edinburgh’s culture, food, and creative scene., • Highly organised and comfortable working autonomously., • Digitally savvy - confident with social media, revenue platforms, and creative tools.
