Engineering Stores Technician Sector: Engineering / Manufacturing Location: Norfolk Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, 40 hours per week We are recruiting for an Engineering Stores Technician to join a manufacturing business in Norfolk. This is a hands-on stores role within a manufacturing environment, supporting the control of engineering parts, components, and materials used across the business. The position is focused on stock accuracy, parts control, goods in, issuing materials, and supporting production with the right stock at the right time. This role would suit someone who has worked in engineering stores, manufacturing stores, stock control, or inventory and is used to working with parts, components, and system records in a structured environment. The role You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the stores area, helping to make sure materials are booked in correctly, stored properly, issued accurately, and recorded on the system. You will also support stock checks, investigate discrepancies, and work closely with production and other departments to keep material flow running as it should. What you’ll be doing Receiving, checking, and booking in incoming parts and materials Labelling and storing stock correctly Issuing components and materials to production and other internal teams Carrying out stock counts and cycle counts Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory movements on the system Investigating stock discrepancies and reporting any issues Supporting kitting and preparation of materials for production orders Monitoring stock levels and flagging shortages Working closely with production, procurement, and other internal departments Keeping the stores area organised, tidy, and safe Following site Health and Safety procedures at all times What we’re looking for Previous experience in engineering stores, manufacturing stores, stock control, or inventory Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment Good attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable using stock control, ERP, or inventory systems Basic IT skills, including data entry and Excel Able to work in a practical, hands-on role Organised and reliable approach to work Able to communicate clearly with different departments Desirable Forklift licence Driving licence Experience working with engineering parts or components How to apply To apply, please send your CV or contact ISQ Recruitment on (phone number removed) for more information
