Ready to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently? We’re looking for a Stores Assistant to join our aviation maintenance team and help keep everything stocked, organised, and operating at its best. In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day running of Hangar Stores, ensuring the accurate and compliant receipt, inspection and storage of aircraft components, materials, and tooling. You’ll play a key part in maintaining a safe, tidy, and efficient stores environment, helping our engineers access what they need, when they need it. What you’ll be doing: Goods-In & Stock Control • Inspect incoming goods to ensure correct condition, documentation, and compliance, • Monitor stock levels and shelf life, escalating where needed, • Ensure materials are stored correctly in line with OEM, UK CAA and EASA requirements, • Use the maintenance system for accurate tracking and record keeping Stores Operations & Tooling • Support the Lead Store Person to review and improve processes, • Assist Tooling Specialists with tooling checks and inventory management, • Prepare aircraft parts for upcoming maintenance inputs, • Keep the stores area clean, safe, and well organised Compliance & Safety • Follow Dangerous Goods Awareness practices, • Adhere to material handling and storage procedures, • Maintain high health & safety standards, • Contribute to a positive safety culture by reporting hazards and supporting continuous improvement General Duties • Support day-to-day running of Hangar 2 stores, • Carry out additional tasks as required by the Stores & Tooling Supervisor What we’re looking for: • Great attention to detail and strong analytical skills, • Clear and confident communication skills, • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners Desirable experience: • Previous stores or warehouse experience, • Knowledge of HF, EWIS and FTS, • Understanding of Part-145 and Part-M/CAMO requirements, • Aviation experience (advantageous but not essential) What we offer: • Competitive salary, company bonus, and flexible working patterns, • 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + holiday buy/sell, • Health & wellbeing support, company pension, cycle-to-work, electric car scheme, retail discounts, referral bonus, death in service & more About Willis Aviation Services Limited (WASL) WASL is part of Willis Lease Finance Corporation, a global aviation services leader for over 45 years. We’re looking for a Purchaser to help ensure our Part-145 maintenance activities run smoothly by sourcing, purchasing, and managing all materials required across our operations. 🔧 What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our supply chain, responsible for keeping our maintenance teams equipped and our operations running efficiently. Your day-to-day will include: • Coordinating and processing internal requests for purchase orders, • Issuing purchase orders to suppliers and tracking their fulfilment, • Monitoring order status and chasing suppliers to meet operational deadlines, • Working with Finance to ensure invoices are received and processed correctly, • Arranging transport and expediting deliveries when needed, • Handling queries, discrepancies, and any rejected materials, • Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing suppliers, • Keeping data accurate and up to date within our planning & inventory system (Avsight), • Supporting the Planning & Records Supervisor with additional tasks as required, • Promoting a strong safety culture through proactive reporting and continuous improvement ✔️ What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone with: • Previous experience in a purchasing role (aviation experience is a bonus), • Understanding of Part-145 and Part-M/CAMO requirements, • Experience with production planning & inventory systems (e.g., Avsight, AMOS, OASES), • Knowledge of Human Factors principles Key Skills: • Excellent planning and organisational abilities, • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset, • Clear written and verbal communication, • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers If you’re ready to make an impact and support vital aviation operations within a fast-paced, friendly team, we’d love to hear from you!
