About the Role Hays Education is recruiting Qualified Humanities Teachers (QTS) to work on a supply basis across a variety of secondary schools in Bristol and the surrounding areas. We are looking for confident teachers specialising in any of the key Humanities subjects, including: • History, • Geography, • Religious Studies (RS), • Citizenship, • Day-to-day supply, • Short-term block placements As a Humanities Supply Teacher, you will: • Teach your specialist subject across Key Stages 3 and 4, • Deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain student engagement, • Manage classroom behaviour professionally and with confidence, • Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive learning environment What you'll need to succeed • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), • A specialism in History, Geography, RS, or related Humanities subject, • Experience teaching in a UK secondary school (ECT placements accepted), • Strong behaviour management and the ability to engage mixed-ability groups, • The right to work in the UK, • An Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply for one, • A flexible and proactive approach to supply work, • Weekly competitive pay, • Choose full-time or part-time supply work, • Manage availability and timesheets easily via the Hays App, • Strong partnerships with numerous Bristol secondary schools, • Opportunities to secure long-term Humanities roles, • Free CPD, safeguarding training and development resources If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
