About the role The main responsibility of the Transaction Monitoring Analyst will be to conduct thorough reviews of transactions to identify and investigate potential suspicious activity by analysing patterns, conducting investigations and where necessary reporting any findings as necessary to comply with regulatory standards and internal policies. The successful candidate will assist by identifying risks and suggesting improvements to existing processes. Responsibilities • Analyse alerts generated by the retrospective transaction monitoring tool to detect any unusual patterns in transactional data., • Conduct a thorough review and analysis of clients' activity based on KYC/CDD information and provided documents., • Compile and send requests for Information (RFI) when further clarity is required during an investigation, • Contribute actively to the ongoing enhancement of monitoring rules by identifying emerging trends and proposing innovative monitoring scenarios. This entails closely monitoring industry developments, analysing data patterns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop proactive measures that align with regulatory requirements and mitigate emerging risks effectively., • Perform risk-based transaction reviews in line with AML policies and procedures., • Identify and promptly report any suspected money laundering or terrorist financing red flags to the MLRO Team., • Contribute to the preparation of monthly reports and trend analysis as required., • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of other regulatory aspects of the business, including payment services, e-money, data protection, and the Payment Services Directive., • Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks or projects as directed by the Fraud and Financial Crime Manager or Senior Analysts where required. Requirements Essential (Need to have) • Experience of AML/CTF/Sanctions area within the regulated financial sector with 1-2 years of relevant experience in transaction monitoring., • Good knowledge of AML best practices and desire to grow., • Strong analytical and problem-solving qualities and attention to detail., • Excellent communicator in spoken and written English., • Strong business ethic and able to work to deadlines., • Ability to operate proactively, while working alone or as part of a team., • Excellent time management, • Accountability and ownership of assigned tasks.
