Shipping and Receiving Clerk - Deeside, UK We are looking for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team at our Deeside location. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the logistical operations of our company. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, and arranging them for storage or distribution. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness, meeting our operational needs. Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities for success in this role, contributing significantly to our company's achievements. This position requires on-site presence. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Receive incoming shipments from suppliers and delivery carriers, • Verify the contents of received shipments against purchase orders or packing lists, • Perform goods inward inspections and testing of raw materials, • Inspect incoming goods for damages, defects or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel, • Record received items in the inventory management system and ensure accurate documentation, • Receive pick lists from production and process accordingly, • Prepare outgoing shipments as directed, • Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of outgoing shipments, • Maintain cleanliness and organising in the shipping and receiving area, including clearing debris and arranging storage shelves and racking, • Make all necessary transaction in ERP system and prepare all shipping documents, • Coordinate and perform periodic inventory counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy, • Communicate effectively with our US and Oman sites, suppliers, and carriers regarding shipment statuses, delays, or issues, • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace., • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager to support the overall operations of the company Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education) GSCE’s in Mathematics & English. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Previous experience in shipping, receiving and warehouse operations, • Familiarity with inventory management systems and computer skills., • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus, • Use of PMI equipment (training can be provided), • Ability to operate forklift (training provided), pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely, • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and documentation, • Excellent organisational and management skills to prioritise tasks effectively, • Good communication skills to interact with coworkers, suppliers, and shipping carriers., • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods, • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed, • Commitment to following safety procedures, promoting safety culture, and maintaining a clean work environment, • Experience analysing large data sets efficiently, • Well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills Disclaimer: This job description is intended to summarize the type and level of work performed for this role and is not an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, and/or requirements.
