Test Engineer – Clean Energy Tech Fareham, Hampshire £40,000–£50,000 + benefits Full-time Are you excited by the idea of helping accelerate the global transition to clean energy? This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Test Engineer to join an innovative organisation developing cutting-edge energy storage technology that enables zero-carbon industrial uses. In this role, you will design, build and run test rigs that support the development of next-generation electrical, mechanical and thermal systems. You’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven engineering team working on technology that has the potential to make a real impact. The Role You will take ownership of the testing lifecycle across a range of physical systems, including thermal, mechanical and electrical components. Key responsibilities include: • Gathering system and performance requirements, • Developing and documenting test requirements, • Designing and building test rigs, • Creating test environments and test cases, • Running test rigs and analysing results, • Identifying issues, recommending fixes and driving improvements, • Presenting findings to the product design and engineering teams, • Conducting quality checks on components and final products, • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO) About You You will thrive in a fast-moving environment where you can apply both analytical and practical engineering skills. We’re looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building prototypes and getting stuck into real-world testing.
