Role Purpose The Technical Sales Director will drive sales growth across the EMEA region by leveraging deep technical expertise to identify, develop, and close opportunities for advanced cabin interior solutions with airlines, MROs, and OEMs. This role acts as the technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring solutions are tailored to client needs and technically feasible. Key Responsibilities • Technical Consultation: Serve as the subject matter expert on cabin retrofit products (e.g., in-seat power, LED lighting, connectivity), providing technical guidance to customers throughout the sales cycle., • Solution Development: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop customized solutions, prepare technical proposals, and address customer requirements., • Sales Process Management: Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities, managing the pipeline from initial contact through technical evaluation, proposal, and contract negotiation., • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders at airlines, MROs, and OEMs., • Product Demonstrations: Lead technical presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept trials at customer sites and industry events., • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform product development and sales strategy., • Project Handover: Ensure smooth transition from sales to project delivery, supporting project teams with technical documentation and customer insights., • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions using CRM tools. Candidate Profile Essential: • Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or related technical field (or equivalent experience), • 5+ years’ experience in technical sales or sales engineering within aviation, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing, • Proven track record of closing complex, technical B2B sales, • Strong technical acumen and ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions, • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, • Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region Desirable: • Experience with cabin retrofit programs, certification processes, or aircraft interior systems, • Familiarity with CRM and sales pipeline management tools, • Multilingual skills KPIs and Performance Metrics • Sales Revenue: Achieve or exceed annual sales targets for the EMEA region (e.g., total contract value closed, year-over-year growth)., • Pipeline Development: Maintain a healthy pipeline with a specified number of qualified opportunities at all times., • Win Rate: Achieve a target win rate for technical proposals and bids submitted., • Sales Cycle Time: Reduce average time from lead qualification to deal closure., • Customer Acquisition: Secure a targeted number of new airline, MRO, or OEM accounts per year., • Customer Retention: Maintain or improve retention rates for existing accounts., • Technical Proposal Quality: Deliver technical proposals with a high acceptance rate and minimal revisions required., • Product Demonstrations: Conduct a targeted number of product demos or proof-of-concept trials per quarter., • Customer Satisfaction: Achieve high customer satisfaction scores (e.g., post-sale surveys, Net Promoter Score)., • Market Intelligence Contributions: Provide regular, actionable market and competitor insights to inform product and sales strategy., • CRM Utilization: Ensure timely and accurate updates of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system. Additional Information • The role reports to the Vice President, Global Sales., • Up to 50% travel required across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
