Site Manager - LV/HV Power & EV Infrastructure Projects Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 DOE + Van, Fuel card, Laptop, Phone Location - North East & South West Travel Expenses Covered Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of LV/HV electrical infrastructure and EV charging hub projects across Scotland and the UK. This role is ideally suited to someone with proven experience managing large-scale EV charging hub construction projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary site teams, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations, utility construction, civil and electrical coordination, and DNO/ICP interfaces within live operational environments. Key Responsibilities As Site Manager, you will be responsible for: • Managing day-to-day site operations for LV/HV electrical and EV infrastructure projects, • Coordinating electrical, civil, and subcontractor activities across multiple workstreams, • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements, • Enforcing compliance with CDM 2015, HSEQ policies, and client procedures, • Producing and reviewing RAMS, permits, and site documentation, • Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings, • Liaising with DNOs, ICPs, clients, local authorities, and project stakeholders, • Coordinating utility diversions, cable installations, substations, and EV charger installations, • Monitoring project progress, quality standards, and workforce productivity, • Managing temporary works, traffic management, and public interface issues, • Supporting commissioning and energisation activities alongside authorised personnel, • Reporting on project progress, delays, risks, and commercial impacts, • Assisting project delivery teams with planning, logistics, and resource coordination Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates should have: • SMSTS qualification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), • Strong understanding and practical application of CDM Regulations 2015, • Proven experience managing LV/HV electrical infrastructure projects, • Proven experience delivering large-scale EV charging hub construction projects, • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary contractors and subcontractors, • Strong knowledge of utility construction and DNO/ICP environments, • Experience managing health & safety compliance on live construction sites, • Full UK driving licence, • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Desirable Experience & Certifications The following would be advantageous: • Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor qualification, • NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely qualification, • EUSR SHEA Power certification, • NRSWA Supervisor qualification, • First Aid at Work certification, • Experience working on DNO framework projects, • Experience delivering BESS, renewable energy, or wider infrastructure projects, • Knowledge of NEC contracts and programme management Qualifications Typical qualifications may include: • SMSTS, • CSCS Management Card, • NVQ Level 6/7 in Construction Management (desirable), • CDM 2015 awareness or training, • Utility or electrical engineering related qualifications Key Skills & Attributes We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: • Strong leadership and team management capability, • Excellent planning and coordination skills, • Strong commercial and programme awareness, • High standards of health & safety management, • Ability to manage fast-paced, multi-contractor environments, • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, • Professional client-facing communication skills Typical Project Experience Candidates should ideally have experience delivering: • LV/HV cable installation and utility infrastructure works, • Substation and feeder pillar installations, • EV charging hubs and rapid charging infrastructure, • Large-scale commercial or public EV charging schemes, • Civil and electrical coordination works, • DNO interface management and energisation planning, • Live operational environments and phased delivery programmes Why Join Us?
