    Little Friends Nursery is an established, outstanding early years setting in Wood Green, North London (N22). We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and caring Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about working with young children, understands the importance of providing high-quality early years education and is confident contributing as part of a busy nursery team. The role will include: • Providing a safe, caring, stimulating and engaging environment for children., • Supporting children's learning and development in accordance with the EYFS., • Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities based on children's interests and developmental needs., • Acting as a Key Person and building positive relationships with children and their families., • Completing observations, assessments and children's learning records., • Supporting children's personal care, mealtimes, sleep routines and daily transitions., • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene., • Carrying out daily room and environmental risk assessments as required., • Working collaboratively with Room Leaders, management and other practitioners., • Helping to maintain an organised, welcoming and stimulating nursery environment., • Supporting children with additional needs and working inclusively with all children., • Communicating professionally and positively with parents and carers. What we are looking for Ideally, applicants will hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare or an equivalent qualification recognised as suitable for working within the EYFS. We will also consider strong candidates who are currently completing a relevant childcare qualification. The successful candidate should: • Have experience working with children in an early years setting., • Have a good understanding of the EYFS., • Understand safeguarding responsibilities within an early years environment., • Be dependable, punctual and committed to their role., • Have good written and verbal communication skills., • Be able to work effectively as part of a team., • Be confident communicating with parents and colleagues., • Be proactive and willing to contribute ideas and activities., • Have a genuine interest in children's development and wellbeing., • Be willing to undertake training and continued professional development. Working pattern We are particularly interested in candidates who can work a minimum of 4 days per week. Our nursery operates between 8:00am and 6:00pm, and applicants should be able to work flexibly within these hours.     Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Room Leader to join our established early years setting. The successful candidate will lead a designated room, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are maintained at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Level 3 practitioner (or above) who is passionate about early childhood education and confident in leading a team to deliver outstanding practice in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the daily operations of the designated room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children., • Plan, implement, and oversee high-quality learning opportunities in accordance with the EYFS framework., • Monitor and support children’s learning and development through observation, assessment, and planning., • Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are consistently met., • Supervise, support, and mentor room staff, promoting teamwork and professional development., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory and nursery requirements., • Build strong, professional partnerships with parents and carers to support children’s progress and wellbeing., • Work collaboratively with the management team to contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery., • Support staff deployment and ensure appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained at all times.
