At NG Bailey Facilities Services, we’re looking for an experienced Mobile General Maintenance Technician to join our prestigious SETL - South East Trains Limited Railway Contract. \n In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for providing essential electrical maintenance across train stations in the Southeast London area, Kent, and occasionally Sussex. Your Responsibilities\n As a Mobile General Maintenance Technician, you will: \n\n • Perform planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across a portfolio of railway stations.\n, • Handle a diverse range of tasks, including minor building repairs, decorating, basic carpentry, and plumbing.\n, • Complete fabric-related PPM tasks and reactive repairs within agreed Service Level Agreements and KPIs.\n, • Diagnose faults and efficiently complete repairs, often working independently across multiple locations.\n, • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to meet contractual obligations.\n, • Ensure all work is conducted safely, adhering to method statements, risk assessments, and health & safety procedures.\n, • Maintain accurate records of completed works and site documentation.\n, • Utilize the client's CAFM system to log work and provide service delivery updates.\n, • Liaise professionally with clients, station teams, FM colleagues, subcontractors, and service partners.\n, • Assist in coordinating and supervising subcontractor works, ensuring health & safety standards are upheld.\n, • Proactively identify maintenance issues to maintain high standards across premises.\n, • Undertake minor works and small projects with minimal supervision.\nWorking Hours\n Enjoy a balanced work-life with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, along with participation in an on-call rota (1-6). There are also opportunities for overtime when needed! What We’re Looking For\n We seek a practical and experienced General Maintenance Technician who takes pride in their work and can deliver high-quality maintenance services. You should be comfortable working independently and managing your workload across multiple sites while providing excellent customer service. \n Ideally, you will have: \n\n • Experience in a Fabric Technician, Building Maintenance, Handyperson, or similar multi-skilled maintenance role.\n, • Practical experience in fabric-related PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.\n, • A broad range of building maintenance skills, including repairs, decorating, carpentry, and plumbing.\n, • The ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision.\n, • Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work.\n, • Strong communication and customer service skills.\n, • Experience with job documentation and mobile or CAFM systems.\n, • A relevant City & Guilds trade qualification or equivalent (advantageous).\n, • PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification (advantageous but training can be provided).\n, • A full UK driving licence (essential).\nWhy Join Us?\n At NG Bailey, we believe in evolving our benefits to attract and retain the best talent.
