Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk Salary: £32,000 £35,000 per annum (DOE) We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a specialist care service in Great Yarmouth. This is a key leadership role supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. The service operates using a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model, focusing on promoting independence, choice, inclusion and quality of life for all residents. Key Responsibilities • Support the Home Manager in the overall operation of the service, • Lead, supervise and support care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, • Take responsibility for the service in the absence of the Home Manager, • Monitor residents wellbeing and ensure care plans are accurate and up to date, • Support medication management and care documentation, • Conduct staff supervision, appraisals and ongoing development, • Act as safeguarding lead in the absence of the Home Manager, • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, health and safety and infection control requirements, • Build strong relationships with residents, families and external professionals, • Promote a positive, inclusive environment and encourage resident engagement and independenceRequirements, • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager within a residential care setting, • Strong understanding of learning disabilities and complex care needs, • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches (desirable), • Good understanding of CQC standards and regulatory compliance, • Experience in staff supervision, development and performance management, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, • Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teamsSalary & Benefits, • £32,000 £35,000 per annum (depending on experience), • Opportunities for training, development and career progression, • Supportive leadership and structured onboarding, • Ongoing professional development opportunities, • Employee wellbeing and support initiatives
