Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Assistant Director of Nursing, • Discipline: RN, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 37.5 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing Unit: Labor & Delivery Location: Brooklyn, NY, 11206 Shift: Night shift but may need to cover days Shift Length: 8 hours 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week Duration: 13 weeks Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Labor & Delivery to provide clinical and operational leadership within an acute care hospital setting. The ADON will oversee daily unit operations, support nursing staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills with a focus on patient safety and team development. Candidates must have a minimum of seven (7) years of Labor & Delivery experience, including five (5) years in a supervisory role within an acute care hospital setting. Roles & Responsibilities: • Oversee daily operations and clinical workflow of the Labor & Delivery unit to ensure high-quality patient care, • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff while promoting a collaborative work environment, • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements, • Coordinate patient care activities with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, • Assist in staff scheduling, performance management, quality improvement initiatives, and operational planningSkills:, • Strong leadership and team management skills in a Labor & Delivery setting, • Expertise in maternal-newborn nursing and acute care clinical practices, • Knowledge of patient safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement, • Effective communication and interdisciplinary care coordination abilities, • Staff supervision, performance management, and conflict resolution skills, • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environmentDocuments Required:, • Valid NYS State RN license, • 7 years of Labor & Delivery experience, including five (5) years in a supervisory role within an acute care hospital setting., • PALS Certified through AHA, • ACLS Certified through AHA, • BLS Certified through AHA Please submit your resume to mahin.shami@medcadre or Call/text .
