Job DescriptionInventory Specialist Position Summary The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory levels and ensuring the timely distribution of supplies throughout laboratory and office facilities. This role supports daily operations by stocking laboratory supply closets, replenishing breakrooms and copy rooms, delivering internal mail and packages, and transporting supplies from warehouse storage areas. The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in ensuring employees have access to the materials and resources needed to perform their work efficiently. Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $20/hour Shift: M-F 9am-5:30pm Location: Onsite: Philadelphia PA 19112 Benefits: Med/Den/Vis, 401(K), PTO, and Paid Holidays Primary Responsibilities • Stock and replenish laboratory supply closets with approved inventory items and consumables., • Retrieve supplies from warehouse storage areas and distribute them to laboratories, offices, breakrooms, and copy rooms., • Deliver and distribute internal mail, packages, and interoffice correspondence., • Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels., • Replenish breakrooms with paper products, beverages, coffee supplies, utensils, and other designated items., • Stock copy rooms with paper, toner cartridges, office supplies, and related materials., • Perform routine inventory counts and assist with inventory tracking and recordkeeping., • Organize supply closets, storage areas, and warehouse inventory to ensure efficiency and accessibility., • Assist with receiving shipments, unpacking deliveries, and verifying inventory against packing slips., • Respond promptly to employee requests for supplies and materials., • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures when handling and transporting materials., • Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply and storage areas.Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, stocking, logistics, mail services, or facilities support preferred., • Strong organizational and time-management skills., • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities., • Basic computer skills for inventory management and communication., • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.Physical Requirements, • Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies weighing up to 50 pounds., • Frequent walking throughout the facility., • Ability to push carts and transport materials between buildings or departments., • Regular bending, reaching, stooping, and standing for extended periods.Key Competencies, • Inventory Management, • Material Handling, • Organization and Planning, • Customer Service, • Attention to Detail, • Communication Skills, • Reliability and DependabilityThis position is essential to maintaining seamless laboratory and office operations by ensuring supplies, inventory, and mail are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
