Why You’ll Love This Role • Join an organization that takes pride in building essential infrastructure while prioritizing sustainability and community impact., • Be part of a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and integrity in every project., • Use your analytical expertise to help deliver high-profile projects on time and on budget., • Gain exposure to civil, utility, and renewable energy projects shaping California’s future., • Work with a leadership team that invests in your professional growth and development.What You’ll Do, • Create and maintain job, phase, and cost code structures aligned with contract and estimating guidelines., • Review, code, and accurately record daily transactions across labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors., • Support project managers with cost forecasting, work-in-progress tracking, and reporting for revenue recognition., • Reconcile invoices, timesheets, and purchase orders – partnering with field and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies., • Generate and interpret detailed cost reports, highlighting trends and recommending proactive course corrections., • Identify potential overruns or billing opportunities and alert project stakeholders for timely adjustments., • Ensure all change orders and extra work are captured and properly reflected in cost reports and forecasts., • Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling job cost data to the general ledger., • Contribute to continuous improvement by refining cost tracking procedures and reporting templates., • Collaborate closely with field and operations teams to ensure consistent application of cost coding standards across all projects.To Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Bring, • 2+ years of experience in job costing, construction accounting, or project accounting (civil, utility, or renewable energy preferred)., • Strong knowledge of construction cost structures, work breakdown systems, and cost-to-complete methods., • Proficiency with construction accounting or ERP/job cost systems and advanced Excel capabilities., • Keen attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines., • Effective communication skills with a team-oriented, solution-focused mindset.
