Immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative in Ontario, CA who possesses: • 1 to 3+ years of inside or outside sales experience, • Valid California driver's license and clean driving record, • Computer savvy with Microsoft Office experience; CRM experience preferred FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support business development, customer relationship management, inside and outside sales activities, site visits, estimates, proposals, and customer project coordination. This temp-to-hire role is responsible for generating opportunities, conducting outreach, supporting customer meetings, gathering project details, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining accurate CRM records. The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, comfortable learning technical products, and able to support customer-facing sales activities within industrial, construction, safety, equipment, or related technical markets. The selected candidate will be responsible for: • Generating qualified opportunities through outbound calls, email outreach, referrals, networking, bid platforms, industry contacts, and follow-up with existing customers, • Building relationships with general contractors, facility managers, EHS and safety professionals, engineers, architects, purchasing teams, manufacturers, public agencies, and other decision-makers, • Conducting discovery calls and meetings to understand customer applications, work activities, safety concerns, schedules, budgets, decision processes, and procurement requirements, • Conducting customer site assessments to identify fall hazards, access conditions, work areas, supporting structures, user needs, and operational constraints, • Gathering photographs, measurements, sketches, equipment information, site conditions, and customer requirements for estimating, engineering, drawings, and proposal development, • Coordinating with estimators, engineers, project managers, installers, manufacturers, and management to develop practical and supportable solutions, • Preparing professional correspondence, meeting summaries, budget estimates, written proposals, cost-supported scopes of work, and PowerPoint presentations, • Presenting and reviewing proposals with customers, • Explaining options clearly, addressing questions, and establishing agreed next steps, • Following up consistently on proposals, open quotations, pending purchase orders, dormant opportunities, and inactive customer accounts, • Maintaining accurate CRM records, pipeline stages, customer requirements, follow-up dates, probability, next actions, and forecast information, • Negotiating professionally while protecting scope, pricing, schedule, payment terms, risk position, and commercial requirements, • Supporting customer meetings, inspections, and deal-closing activities, • Coordinating with internal teams for project specifications and product development needs, • Helping ensure accuracy of project measurements and customer requirements, • Supporting appropriate fall protection training for customer personnel after company-provided training and qualification, • Meeting established goals for sales activity, qualified opportunities, proposals, revenue, gross margin, conversion, customer retention, and repeat business, • Performing other duties as assigned The selected candidate will also possess: • 1 to 3+ years of inside or outside sales experience required, • Business-to-business sales, account development, or technical business development experience preferred, • Experience selling construction products, industrial safety solutions, engineered systems, access equipment, material handling equipment, building products, or related technical services preferred, • Experience with industrial supply, construction products, safety equipment, PPE, tools, fasteners, roofing, building materials, equipment rental, material handling, access equipment, scaffolding, ladders, platforms, or facility-maintenance services preferred, • Construction estimating, project coordination, assistant project management, field representative, safety, inspection, installation, field service, military, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, logistics, or technical-service background may be considered, • Valid California driver's license required, • Clean driving record required, • Reliable transportation and full coverage insurance required, • Ability to travel locally to customer facilities and project sites required, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to conduct professional discovery calls, presentations, site meetings, and proposal reviews, • Ability to build customer relationships, manage follow-up, and move opportunities through a multi-step sales process, • Strong organization and time-management skills, • Ability to manage multiple opportunities with different schedules and levels of complexity, • Ability to document customer requirements, conversations, commitments, follow-up dates, and next steps accurately, • Ability to read and understand basic plans, specifications, sketches, photographs, equipment layouts, and scopes of work, • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams required, • CRM experience preferred, • Basic business understanding of pricing, gross margin, freight, installation costs, payment terms, and project risk, • Professional judgment and willingness to ask questions or involve technical personnel rather than make assumptions, • Self-motivated, reliable, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership of results, • Ability to work onsite in Ontario, CA, • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed, • Ability to support a temp-to-hire opportunity Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing CRM records, proposals, customer requirements, quotes, project details, and sales documentation, • Ability to communicate by phone, email, video meeting, and in person throughout the workday, • Ability to travel locally on a regular basis and occasionally outside the region or state based on project and customer needs, • Ability to visit customer facilities, rooftops, industrial sites, and active construction environments as needed, • Ability to walk project areas, climb stairs, and safely access work locations while following site rules, • Ability to work around heights, ladders, machinery, construction activities, and safety-sensitive operations, • Ability to gather measurements, photographs, sketches, and site condition details during customer visits, • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout office, customer site, warehouse, industrial, or construction environments as needed, • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move standard sales, presentation, sample, or site visit materials as needed, • Ability to comply with customer safety, security, orientation, PPE, and background-clearance requirements, • Ability to wear required
