Job DescriptionAbout Advertima Retail Media is reshaping the global media industry. Analysts expect the market to exceed $300 billion by 2030, representing nearly one fourth of global media spend. Yet physical retail, where around 90% of shopping is still expected to happen well into the next decade, remains structurally behind. Most stores still lack the infrastructure required to operate as true Retail Media environments: real time audience intelligence, audience based activation, closed loop measurement, and scalable monetization capabilities. That gap is exactly where Advertima operates. Advertima created and leads the category of In store Audience Intelligence. Using Vision AI, edge computing, and AI, we enable retailers to understand and activate physical store audiences in real time, turning stores into measurable, audience driven Retail Media environments. We believe the market still underestimates how much Retail Media investment will move into physical stores once retailers gain the same audience intelligence, activation, and measurement capabilities that drove the growth of online Retail Media. And that shift will not only come from existing Retail Media budgets. As physical stores become real time, measurable, and audience driven media environments, budgets from across the broader media ecosystem, including Search, Social, DOOH, and traditional media, will increasingly compete for access to in store audiences. We are building the infrastructure layer behind that shift. Our systems already operate across global retail networks with companies such as Walmart, Carrefour, FairPrice, SPAR, and EDEKA. North America is now our most strategic growth market. This role is for someone who wants to help shape how the largest retailers in the world build, scale, and monetize their Retail Media Networks inside physical stores over the next decade. Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Director, Market Development & Growth – North America to lead our commercial expansion across the US market. This is one of the most strategically important commercial roles at Advertima. You will operate at the intersection of Retail Media, AdTech, programmatic infrastructure, audience monetization, and enterprise retail transformation. Your mission is to establish Advertima as the category leader for In store Audience Intelligence across North America. You will engage directly with: • retailers, • Retail Media Networks, • agencies, • SSPs, • DSPs, • ecosystem partners, • and C level stakeholders across the industry This role is intentionally designed for a highly entrepreneurial operator who wants to help build Advertima’s North American business from the ground up. As the market scales, the scope of this role can evolve significantly, including the opportunity to build and lead Advertima’s broader North American organization over time. Your role…Build the North American Market You will identify, develop, and close strategic partnerships with leading North American retailers and Retail Media Networks. Your focus is long term market leadership, not short term pipeline generation. Drive Enterprise Deal Making You will lead highly strategic enterprise sales cycles from first engagement through rollout. This includes: • executive stakeholder management, • commercial negotiation, • monetization strategy alignment, • internal political navigation, • multi stakeholder orchestration, • long cycle enterprise deal management, • ecosystem alignment across retailers, agencies, and AdTech partners Experience structuring CAPEX free, revenue sharing, and DaaS driven commercial models is highly valuable. Convert POVs into Rollouts You will drive Proof of Value deployments into scalable long term rollouts. You understand that successful POV execution is not only about validating technology, but about proving monetization potential, operational scalability, measurable CPM uplift, and long term strategic value. You will work closely with Product, Delivery, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful execution and rollout scalability. Build the Ecosystem You will help expand Advertima’s North American ecosystem across: • Retail Media Networks, • agencies, • SSPs/DSPs, • CMS platforms, • programmatic infrastructure partners You understand that category creation requires ecosystem orchestration, not isolated sales activity. Shape Market Positioning You will represent Advertima in the North American market and influence how retailers, agencies, and ecosystem partners understand In store Audience Intelligence. You will continuously feed market intelligence, customer feedback, competitive dynamics, and monetization insights back into the organization. Who Usually Thrives in This RoleYou have built from 0 to 1 to scale before You have operated inside startup or scaleup environments where: • markets were undefined, • category creation was required, • positioning had to be invented, • and momentum had to be created from scratch You know how to generate traction and scale commercially without relying on existing demand, established positioning, or brand recognition. You know how to create momentum where none exists yet. You know how to hunt and close whales You understand how to navigate and close highly complex enterprise deals involving: • retailers, • Retail Media Networks, • agencies, • SSPs / DSPs, • procurement, • IT & security, • finance, • operations, • ecosystem partners You understand long enterprise sales cycles, competing priorities, procurement layers, and internal politics. You do not simply pitch products. You know how to align stakeholders, create urgency, manage political complexity, and drive deals forward until they close. You already operate inside the Retail Media ecosystem You bring direct experience working with and selling into: • Retail Media Networks, • retailers with Retail Media monetization ambitions, • agencies managing Retail Media and omnichannel media budgets More importantly, you already have the relationships, network, and industry credibility to open strategic doors quickly. You deeply understand programmatic and AdTech infrastructure You understand how the ecosystem actually functions operationally and commercially, not only conceptually. You are fluent in: • SSPs/DSPs, • Ad Exchanges, • programmatic activation flows, • auction logic, bid mechanics, • audience segmentation, • targeting frameworks, • data monetization You can speak credibly and precisely with retailers, agencies, SSPs, DSPs, and Retail Media stakeholders alike. You understand DOOH - and where its limitations begin You understand digital signage and DOOH operations. More importantly, you understand why audience based In store Retail Media operates differently from traditional DOOH, and you know how to position that difference commercially, strategically, and technologically. You understand both sides of the Retail Media budget You understand: • upper funnel media budgets and KPI structures, • trade marketing and lower funnel sales driven budgets You know how to navigate both worlds simultaneously and understand how Retail Media connects media monetization with commerce outcomes. You understand audience based media end to end You understand the full lifecycle of audience based media execution: • audience creation, • segmentation logic, • targeting frameworks, • direct I/O execution, • programmatic activation, • measurement, • attribution, • sales impact Not as theoretical concepts, but through real operational and commercial execution experience. You can lead markets without hierarchy This may not initially be a large people management role, but it is a market leadership role. You must be capable of creating momentum, urgency, alignment, and strategic direction across customers, partners, and internal teams without relying on hierarchy. You are commercially aggressive, but strategically intelligent You know how to balance: • short term execution, • long term positioning, • relationship building, • monetization strategy, • ecosystem orchestration, • operational reality You think beyond quarterly pipeline targets. You think in market positioning, infrastructure control, and long term category leadership.
