Job Description Location: Southern California (Los Angeles & Northern Orange County) Compensation: $110,000–$115,000 Annually Salary (Salary contingent on candidate’s experience) Type: Full-Time About the Role: Tri-Vin Wines and Spirits, one of the nation’s leading importers and distributors of world-class wines, is seeking a driven Southern California Market Manager to lead sales and merchandising efforts across the Southern California market. This position oversees sales and merchandising operations throughout Los Angeles and Northern Orange County. Due to the in-market leadership responsibilities of this role, candidates must reside within the territory and work on-site across the region. The Southern California Market Manager works closely with distributor sales teams to expand distribution, drive depletion growth, and execute effective merchandising and promotional programs across independent on- and off-premise and convenience accounts. Performance Metrics: Success in this role will be measured by: • Depletion Volume, • Distribution, Display, and Promotional Execution, • Timeliness and Quality of Deliverables, including:, • Budget and expense management, • Reporting accuracy, • Consistent, professional communication with key accounts and distributor partners Key Responsibilities: Sales & Account Management • Identify, target, and sell to key independent on- and off-premise and convenience accounts both independently and alongside distributor personnel, • Own and manage relationships within the top 100 independent retail accounts in the territory, • Maintain and grow existing accounts by increasing distribution, displays, and promotional activity, • Conduct regular collaborative market work with distributor teams, including:, • Ride-withs, • Market surveys, • Sales blitzes, • Tastings and demonstrations, • Provide product education and training to restaurant staff, retail teams, and distributor sales forces, • Communicate current programs, incentives, and goals to distributor partners through consistent correspondence, including:, • Monthly execution recaps, • Pricing or placement correction requests, • Event and meeting schedules, • Competitive activity insights, • Vintage scores and ratings, • Communicate all related business activity to supervisor, including:, • CRM reporting, • Monthly planning calendars, • Target account development strategies, • Identification of problem areas and opportunities, • Adhere strictly to assigned budgets and expense guidelines Qualifications: • Must reside in Los Angeles or Northern Orange County, • Bachelor’s degree required, • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an alcohol distributor salesperson in Southern California (mandatory), • Proven ability to build trust, loyalty, and credibility with distributor partners, accounts, and internal colleagues, • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, VIP iDIG, and Karma CRM, • Valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal record, • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends for appointments and events, • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
