Job Description Overview Director of Operations Elise Buie Family Law Group Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 At Elise Buie Family Law Group, we are redefining the standard of care in family law. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, contribute ideas, champion process improvements, and help deliver top-tier legal solutions in an environment built on compassion, connection, and growth. What You Will Do • Design, document, and continuously improve end-to-end operational systems supporting the full client lifecycle, • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable, risk-reducing solutions, • Translate firm strategy into clear workflows, processes, and accountability structures, • Ensure seamless handoffs across sales, intake, legal, admin, and billing, • Monitor and improve operational metrics tied to client satisfaction and service quality, • Oversee HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and people systems, • Lead and support the Administrative Department to maintain high standards of execution, • Own and optimize the firm’s operational technology stack and automation efforts, • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, capacity management, and role clarity, • Serve as the operational “glue” across departments, driving alignment and clarity, • Build relationships within the broader legal and professional community, • Travel as required and attend firm meetings What We Are Looking For • 5+ years of law firm operations experience preferred, • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role required, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or related field, • Proven experience designing and managing firm-wide operational systems, • Strong understanding of legal workflows and case lifecycles, • High level of technological fluency and comfort optimizing tools, • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams (HR, admin, operations, or tech), • Exceptional organizational and execution skills, • Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, • Experience with Legal Practice Management software, • Experience with Outlook, Dropbox, Adobe, and Microsoft Office 365, • Experience with Apple devices (or ability to learn quickly), • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Calm, decisive leadership under pressure, • Willingness to be coached and practice direct, compassionate feedback, • Ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds, • Reliable internet and phone access, • Ability to pass a background check, • A sense of humor and a growth mindset, • Big dreams Why You Will Love Working Here • A values-driven firm rooted in integrity, compassion, and radical candor, • A collaborative team that supports growth, feedback, and big dreams, • Meaningful work helping clients navigate life’s most challenging transitions Full-time employees are offered partially subsidized medical and dental insurance, long-term disability, life insurance, and a matching 401k plan, subject to plan requirements.
